The Brief
Vandemoortele’s EHS manager needed five air quality monitoring devices configured to their specific requirements, alongside the training and knowledge foundation to use them effectively- and a reliable support relationship for the technical upkeep of the sensors going forward.
What We Did
Airscan configured five air quality monitoring devices to the specifications set by Vandemoortele’s EHS manager, ensuring the setup reflected the actual monitoring priorities of the facility rather than a generic default configuration. Alongside the hardware work, Airscan ran workshop sessions with the EHS team covering the fundamentals of air quality monitoring – giving the person responsible for the data the grounding to interpret it, act on it, and manage the system with confidence. Airscan continues to provide ongoing customer support covering sensor calibration and maintenance.
How It Works
Configuring devices to an organisation’s specific requirements means aligning the parameters being tracked, the alert thresholds, and the reporting setup to what the EHS function actually needs to monitor – not what a standard deployment would produce by default. The training component addresses the gap that hardware alone leaves: a well-configured monitoring system produces better outcomes when the people using it understand what they’re looking at. Ongoing calibration and maintenance support keeps the sensors performing to specification over time, which is what makes the data they produce reliable enough to act on.
Outcomes
Vandemoortele’s EHS manager came away from the engagement with a fully configured monitoring setup and a working knowledge of the air quality field – the combination needed to use the system as a genuine operational tool rather than a compliance checkbox. Airscan’s continued support on calibration and maintenance keeps the monitoring infrastructure performing reliably on an ongoing basis.
