Airscan is an independent environmental quality company that helps organizations monitor, verify, and improve the conditions that govern livability across indoor and outdoor spaces.
Founded in 2018 by the team behind CO₂logic, Airscan is an environmental quality company built on decades of environmental and sustainability expertise. From individual facilities to city-wide systems, our work spans indoor and outdoor air quality testing and monitoring, smart ventilation solutions, and performance-based green building certification delivery across key global frameworks.
We drive turnkey impact programs that scale our environmental quality influence at a societal level such as Pure Cities, Clean Air Alliance, Clean Air for Kids, and Beats for Planet.
Airscan is an independent and impartial environmental quality organization, ensuring objective sampling, testing, verification, and recommendations that reduce risk and avoid commercial bias.
Together with our sister companies - CO₂logic, GoForest, and Greentripper, Positive Impact Team, Naturise - we're connecting healthier environments with solutions that sustain the livability of tomorrow: climate strategy, nature restoration, and travel-footprint tools.
Airscan is ISO/IEC 17025-certified and an WELL Performance Testing Organization. Our team consists of WELL Performance Testing Agents and Accredited Professionals, BREEAM AP, Malaysian IAQ Assessor recognized by DOSH, and GreenRE AP and MyCREST AP accreditation.
Airscan works closely with trusted partners to scale our outcomes and reach, including Belfius for impact initiatives, Vinçotte for validated air quality protocols.
A public-private initiative led by Airscan to build Belgium’s largest shared, high-density data network for real-time indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring. It aims to link outdoor monitoring with indoor performance so buildings can ventilate when the air is truly clean – site by site, street by street – improving health while cutting wasted energy. As more partners join, the network gains collective intelligence: sharper pollution patterns, better prevention, and stronger evidence to shape standards and policies. Built to scale to 2,000 sensors by 2030.
Together with partners Belfius, Clean Air for Schools is Airscan’s turnkey program to improve indoor air quality in Belgian schools. Since 2020, Airscan has assessed 72 schools for CO₂, particulate matter and VOCs; and supported practical upgrades from advanced ventilation strategies to equipment and maintenance. The results are clear: particulate matter is the biggest challenge in classrooms, while mechanical ventilation and targeted air purification delivers measurable reductions.
Pure Cities extends urban livability by helping municipalities across Belgium measure and reduce outdoor pollution at scale. In partnership with Belfius, the program crowdsources local air quality concerns, connects public demand with municipal action, and supports towns in deploying monitoring networks for PM1, PM2.5, PM10, and NO₂. With 50 participating towns so far, Pure Cities is building a nationwide sensor backbone that strengthens local interventions, improves planning, and accelerates cleaner air across Belgium.
